A Giant OINK for the Porkapalooza Pit Crew The organizers of Porkapalooza want to pass along a giant OINK to all of the volunteers who helped run a fantastic, eco-friendly event on Saturday, October 4 at the Red Horse Ranch in Fennville, Michigan. With over 800 participants throughout the daylong festival, it took quite a dedicated “pit crew” to keep everything running smoothly. The all day farm party -- celebrating the many wonders of our local harvest -- was successful thanks to each person’s efforts. Special thanks goes out to the Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance for their participation in the festival and their ongoing efforts towards preservation of local lands. Also, an extra appreciative “oink” to the sound and stage crew for keeping the great tunes going all day long. With so many volunteer requests to work again next year, we do believe some fun was had throughout the day! If you missed this year’s event, we’ll see you next year on Saturday, October 3, 2009.
